1 review of Monticello Amiata House Museum

Collections

The House Museum di Monticello Amiata (Grosseto) originally had material utensils in the museum's collection which were used in the preparation of transforming of chestnuts. Afterwards, donations were made by the people of the town and the collection grew with relevant instruments for other aspects of local rural life. The ethnographic collection, composed mainly of pieces dating from the 20th century, is divided into 2 groups: the first, daily use utensils, and the second, a variety of tools used by local artisans and farmers.
