Motoconchos in Higuey
One of the things that surprised me in Higuey and the area is the presence of so-called "motoconchos". These motorcycles are used by local people to, like a taxi. They are very economical, but it is amazing how a small bike can hold go up to 8 people!, The truth is I do not know how they fit. A taxi driver told us that now they have a policy for not allowing more than 4 people, but still. It's amazing because it is a standard saddle. It's a cheap and fast way to travel, though maybe a bit dangerous.
