Museum of Tobacco-live

Another of the "pit stops" that our bus took was on an excursions to the outskirts of Higueym, in a huge souvenir shop calling itself "museum". The truth is that it was well set up, despite being still under construction. There you can buy gold and silver jewelry combined with the 2 country's most popular products: Amber and larimar. They had nice things, but veneers. Not forgetting the eternal haggling, at least it's a place where authenticity is guaranteed. There were also many ceramic or wood figurines, t-shirts, organic cocoa and coffee, tobacco and cigars, spirits. You could taste the typical "mamajuana", composed by wine liquor macerated with a mixture of various plants, tree branches, rum and honey.
