A fascinating new Institute
The new building of the Netherlands Institute of Sight and Sound consists of five levels below ground and five stories above ground. In the basement of the Institute are the national archives of radio and television. Upstairs is the museum of Audio. The third element is the building of the Institute.
The three together make a public atrium. The impressive facade of the building is a glass screen projecting colored embossed images of famous Dutch television personalities, a composition of the graphic designer Jaap Drupsteen. This place truly is a treat for the eyes.
