Seeing the stars in Combarbalá
The Cruz del Sur Observatory is 3.5km. from the city and at an elevation of about 1100m. Since it was built, it has changed the face of the city and become one of the leading astronomy education centers in the Coquimbo area. It was 16 an 14 inch telescopes and offers tours during both the day and night. You can even study the sun using special filters.
