Oceanographic Museum
This is one of the best places to visit when you're in Monaco, I recommend it to anyone who chooses this country to visit. It was opened in 1910 by Prince Albert the 1st of Monaco. The Oceanographic Museum is a spectacular place dedicated entirely to the sea. There are permanent collections of the founding prince. The museum was housed in an old palace near the Grimaldi family's palace principality. The museum has many living species, like the exposed skeletons of some larger marine mammals. Lately there has been an increased representation of the flora and fauna from the Mediterranean and other seas.
With its laboratories, international conferences and marine expeditions, the museum tries to alert the world to the risks that marine wildlife are facing. This museum is open every day except the day for the Grand Prix Formula 1.
