Three floors - one dish
The visit Hiroshima website describes Okonomimura as food theme park. In reality it is three floors of small stalls selling Okonomiyaki a "Japanese pancake" that is a specialty of Hiroshima. We opted for a stall near the entrance of the second floor. Okonomiyaki is truly a fast food, it was cooked before our eyes in a matter of minutes. It is also far more than a pancake, a variety of different ingredients are added as layers, one of which is pancake and the final one is a dark tangy sauce with some similarities to HP. Delicious and highly addictive.
