Penco is a commune of the Grand Design, lays on the boarder of Tomé, Florida, Talcahuano and Concepción. It is dependent on the Province of Concepción in the Biobío Region VIII. The denomination for the inhabitants of Penco is "pencón", whereas the inhabitants of Concepcion is "penquista".
