Plaza de España

This square is emblematic of Colmenar and definitely the center of this town, lying where the main streets intersect and the Town Hall is located. The square is typical of Andalusian villages, with white houses and one or, at most, two plants, and a fountain in the middle, where orange trees could provide shade and scent the streets during spring with their orange blossoms. As in almost all villages of Andalucia, a panel is posted with a plain ceramic plaque containing informative points of interest, used to promote the village to tourists and visitors.
