1 review of Queen's Dock

Queen's Dock

This is the third dock, starting at the south of the city and has very easy access. Walking the 'docks' from this southern part to the northeast is a very scenic route. It isn't visited much by tourists because it has no distinguished architectural pieces but it is an interesting area for this very reason. The buildings are not polished or refurbished and some are still in use, as shops, workshops and sawmills. Since 1785, when the pier was built, its main role was to build ships and timber trades. In 1905, it was refurbished into the dock that you see today.
