Red Crater

This is one of the Tongariro Alpine Crossing mythical scenes, and it is the highest point of the tour. If you're lucky, you will catch a breathtaking view. (it is unusual to have a clear day). Its reddish color, with views of the Emerald Lakes on one side and Mount Ngauruhoe to the other, mean that this is a perfect place to stop during your tour.
