Trauneralm Refuge hotel

We arrived by bus, and from there we climbed Ferleiten to the refuge. The walk took about an hour or so and is very steep. The refuge is at about 1500 meters. It's located in the Valley of Traun, in the Hohe Tauern National Park, and is owned by Hotel Lukashansl (this hotel has vans available for guest shuttle service). On arrival, we had lunch made by the family that runs it. A typical alpine lunch where they served wine and local beer, a variety of cheese, a dish like scrambled eggs called "Tiroler Gröstl Spiegelei mit" and a delicious chocolate dessert.
