The city is very multicultural and flavors of the food amazing. There are such friendly people and generally, everything here is quite good. About 40 years ago the mines closed and the city suffered a huge conversion but people manage to get by.
Saint-Étienne is perfect and wonderful town where you will find the real people of France. Its amazing to think it's possible for anything to stay that way. I ran into this town by chance and fell in love with this place that is full of vineyards, wonderful and magnificent houses and of course- its nightlife, full of terraces and a multitude of people enjoying a wonderful dinner and good wine. I remember buying wines for my grandfather, its monuments and small shops in those stone houses. I'll be back with my friends.
