San Emeterio Hermitage

The hermitage of San Emeterio is located in the countryside. It has interesting surroundings, like the cave of El Pinal with paintings, horses, bison, elephants, etc. The ruins of St. Mary of Tina (3 km from Pimiango) ancient Romanesque monastery are mentioned for the first time in a diploma in the year 932. San Emeterio, patron of shoemakers, in this area is known as Santu or Santumede Mede. As a result, the locals say: I'll ask the Santu mede this and that and stick with the name. There is a path nearby for walks, through Woods reminiscent of gums .. It´s worth it.
