3 reviews of San Francisco Convent

Oldest monuments

This is one of the oldest monuments in the city of Palencia that dates far back to the XIII century and was one of the most important, because it housed the monarchs and held it Cuts or Councils. The Convent of San Francisco was founded in 1219 by Franciscan monks, and the Cloister of the Convent is all that remains now a days. Today it has been refurbished and there is an access which is wonderful as it is only 10 meters from the Plaza Mayor of Palencia.
