San Jose Hospital

The San José Hospital is an institution of the Community Service, located in Parchment City. It opened its doors in 1872 and operates as a Interzonal Hospital. The new headquarters was opened on May 15, 1987. The institution has a total of 206 beds, of which 180 are used by the Medical Clinic Services, Surgery, Gynecology and Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Neonatology and Intensive Care of Adults and Children, and Mental Health. The remaining beds are for the care of patients suffering from infectious diseases. It is interesting to note that the former chapel is still preserved in an excellent condition.
