Founded in the XI century
Near Figueres, in the hamlet of Vilabertran, which was formed around the monastery of Santa Maria, founded in the XI century there's a Lombard tower topped with building from a century later. The core includes a Romanesque church that houses a valuable cross in the same style, a quiet cloister and an abbot's palace (built in the XV century with a striking a set of windows).
