São José Liberto - Museu Gemas do Pará

It is a lovely place to walk, acquire Amazonian crafts and jewelry produced in the region, at affordable prices and enjoy the museum of gems, the Polo Joalheiro So Jos Liberto located in Belm do Par, in an old prison building that housed dangerous prisoners, and has already been the scene of several and serious transgressions. Keeping all the original structure, the prison was transformed into this wonderful place to visit in Belém. The old prison isolation ward of the prisoners remains in a small dark room, called "ashtray", with a diverse exhibition of prison items like stilettos, punches, and other objects.
