Ssamzie was founded in 2000 as a non-profit, multidisciplinary, cultural and artistic center that supports progressive and avant-garde Korean artists. It's actually a mall where Korean art is promoted internationally, and there are some residency programs for national and international artists that facilitate art studies that allow artists to network. It also allows curators and art critics from Korea and abroad to mingle. Ssamzie is like giant graffiti that covers almost the entire three-story building.
