Wat Intharawihan

Situado en el distrito de Phra Nakorn, cercano a lugares de interés como el mercado de las flores, el Salón del Trono hacia el norte o Khao San Road al sur encontramos el Wat Indraviharn. Dicho templo alberga uno de los budas más impresionantes de Bangkok. Conocido como el Big Buddha o el Buda de pie de 32 metros de altura representa la figura de Maitreya (compasivo). Pertenece al periodo de Ayutthaya, durante los tiempos de Rama IV. Elementos de cristal y oro adornan la figura a modo de mosaicos. Está abierto todos los días con entrada gratuita para todos los visitantes. A los pies de Maitreya se realizan ofrendas junto a una reliquia muy antigua de buda procedente de Sri Lanka. Es considerada la figura más grande del mundo dentro de su estilo y realmente impresiona estando la visión estando justo debajo de la estatua.

Located in the district of Phra Nakorn, close to attractions like the flower market, the Throne Room north or south Khao San Road Indraviharn found the Wat. This temple houses one of the most impressive Buddhas Bangkok. Known as the Big Buddha and the Buddha standing 32 meters high figure represents Maitreya (compassion). It belongs to the Ayutthaya period, during times of Rama IV. Glass elements and gold adorn the figure as a mosaic. It is open daily with free admission for all visitors. At the foot of Maitreya offerings are made with very old relic of Buddha from Sri Lanka. It is considered the world's largest figure in style and really impress your vision while being just below the statue.

E' la statua di Buddha più alta della città e probabilmente dell'intera Thailandia. Con i suoi 45 metri d'altezza questo imponente Buddha domina tutto il complesso monastico sottostante. L'entrata è gratuita e non è mai troppo affollato se non durante le ricorrenze religiose buddiste quando i fedeli si precipitano in massa a rendere omaggio al loro adorato. Ricordatevi di togliervi le scarpe prima di entrare all'interno dei templi e rispettate chi si reca nel luogo per pregare.

And 'the tallest Buddha statue in the city and probably the whole of Thailand. With its 45 meters high this imposing Buddha dominates the monastery below. Admission is free and it's never too crowded except during religious festivals Buddhist when the faithful rush en masse to pay tribute to their beloved. Remember to remove your shoes before entering inside the temples and respected those who visit the place to pray.

Este no es uno de los principales templos de Bangkok, pero, por eso, casi no hay turistas y en él se encuentra una inmensa estatua de Buda de 32 metros de altura que tardó más de 60 años en construirse. Este templo se encuentra en Banglamphu y en él se pueden ver y escuchar las hipnóticas oraciones de los monjes.

This is not one of the major temples in Bangkok, but, so, almost no tourists and l is a huge Buddha statue 32 meters high tard over 60 years to build. This temple is in Banglamphu and l can see and hear the prayers of the monks hipnticas.
