Naples

Girando per le strade di Napoli ci si imbatte in zone molto diverse tra loro. Dall’eleganza del Vomero si passa alla confusione dei quartieri spagnoli, dove bisogna stare attenti a non sbirciare in casa delle persone ed essere pronti a spostarsi quando passa a tutta velocità un motorino guidato da un’intera famiglia, per poi arrivare alla maestosa Piazza Plebiscito, all’imponente Maschio Angioino e al lungomare. Via Caracciolo è perfetta per fare lunghe passeggiate al sole, guardando il mare e il Vesuvio, oltrepassando Castel dell’Ovo e il borgo dei pescatori. Il quartiere più suggestivo è però quello del centro storico; un dedalo di vicoli con botteghe degli artigiani, piazze, chiese, in cui ogni via è dedicata a un mestiere (i librari, i liutai, gli artigiani che producono i presepi e le statuine…). Napoli però non è percorribile solo in superficie; si può scendere sottoterra e visitare Napoli sotterranea, affascinante quanto la parte di città illuminata dal sole.

Dal nostro bed & breakfast Napoli, Casa Miranapoli farete una bella passeggiata sul lungomare Caracciolo fino a Castel dell’Ovo, poi visitate piazza Plebiscito con la splendida Chiesa di San francesco di Paola appena ristrutturata e Palazzo Reale. L’ingresso del Palazzo Reale costa solo 4 euro . Negli appartamenti reali si passa da porta in porta attraverso ambienti riccamente decorati, arazzi, dipinti e troni dorati. Da Piazza Plebiscito vi sposterete alla Galleria Umberto Primo(una sfogliatella da Mary), bellissima, ed attraversando via Toledo al centro storico fino al Duomo. C'è anche il Museo del Tesoro di San Gennaro il cui ingresso è situato accanto al Duomo e alla Cappella del Tesoro: vi sono esposte delle preziose collezioni di gioielli, statue, e tessuti pregiati. Alla fine di Via Foria troverete la bellissima chiesa di San Giovanni a Carbonara. Potete poi tornare ai decumani e ai vicoli del centro storico, tra cui via San Gregorio Armeno, con le esposizioni di presepi delle botteghe di bravissimi artigiani anche per Pasqua . Di solito caotica nel mese di dicembre, mentre a gennaio, al termine delle festività natalizie, tutto il centro storico è tranquillo . Visitate a breve distanza, lungo il decumano di Spaccanapoli, il Monastero di Santa Chiara, una enorme oasi di tranquillità proprio in pieno centro. Sembra impossibile che in mezzo al sovraffollamento del centro storico, fatto di stretti vicoli, viottoli, e viuzze tra balconi, bancarelle ed una galassia di odori di dolci, frutta, bucato e detersivi, si possa trovare uno spazio aperto tanto tranquillo. Il chiostro è completamente ricoperto da maioliche gialle, verdi, azzurre con motivi floreali. Gli schienali delle sedute raccontano momenti di vita quotidiana Questo chiostro va visto alla luce del sole e dona una sensazione di pace e di serenità. Di fronte a Santa Chiara la chiesa del Gesù con la grande statua di San Giuseppe Moscati venerata da numerosi fedeli per i molteplici miracoli che gli sono stati attribuiti. Più avanti vi attende la chiesa di San Lorenzo Maggiore intima e suggestiva, con le rovine sottostanti da non perdere. Poi la Cappella San Severo, ove è collocato il Cristo Velato, eccezionale scultura così realistica da impressionare chiunque la guardi. Nella cripta della cappella sono collocate due “macchine anatomiche”, ovvero due scheletri veri di un uomo e di una donna in posizione eretta con il sistema circolatorio probabilmente cristallizzato con mercurio: ci si interroga ancora su come, nel 1700, siano riusciti ad ottenere un risultato che, seppur macabro, appare estremamente interessante. Tornando indietro verso piazza del Municipio , la splendida chiesa di San Giovanni Maggiore, appena restaurata , vi attende in tutta la sua maestosità. Il Maschio Angioino è uno dei simboli di Napoli. Da vedere assolutamente la Cappella Palatina e l’enorme Sala dei Baroni, affrescata da Giotto, nella quale fino a poco tempo fa si riuniva ancora il consiglio comunale. Particolare anche la porta originale di bronzo del castello, esposta al primo piano, trafugata e riconquista in seguito ad una battaglia durante la quale è stata trafitta da una palla di cannone, ancora visibile. Da Piazza del Plebiscito vicino al Caffè Gambrinus ( come anche da altre parti dei decumani ) parte la visita alla Napoli Sotterranea assolutamente da non perdere. Per non parlare dei musei , Nazionale archeologico, quello di Capodimonte che contiene una delle più belle pinacoteche d'Italia. E il quartiere della Sanità con la Chiesa del Monacone e le Catacombe. Inizio col presupposto che io di Napoli sono innamorata... Molta gente ne parla male per le persone che vivono qui e quindi di conseguenza per loro anche Napoli sia una brutta città e spesso non le viene data molto valore, mentre Napoli è un patrimonio culturale. Ci sono tantissimi musei, chiese, piazza, c’è un mare fantastico come quello di mergellina e molto altro ancora da visitare ma la gente non lo sa perché per loro Napoli è solamente camorra, rapinatori e ignoranti. E questo commento lo lascio soprattutto per le persone che pensano ciò, venite e fatemi sapere se Napoli è ancora così brutta come dite voi...

I start with the assumption that I am in love with Naples ... a lot of people talk about it badly for the people who live here and therefore, for them, Naples is a bad city too and often it is not given much value, while Naples is a cultural heritage . There are many museums, churches, piazza, there is a fantastic sea like that of Mergellina and much more to visit but people do not know because for them Naples is only Camorra, robbers and ignorant. And I leave this comment especially for people who think this, come and let me know if Naples is still as bad as you say ...

Ma più che le strade si dovrebbe parlare dei vicolo dove ci sono i panno appesi al balcone, l'odore del pane appena sfornato, il ragazzino che porta il caffe, la signora con il paniere, i Sanpietrini, il sole (che ce sempre, le bandiere del Napoli e gli altarini, anche uno dedicato a Maradona. Nella vita bisognerebbe perdersi almeno un volta i questo vicoli, senza aver paura perché la gente di Napoli ha un cuore enorme.

the streets of Naples are iniche the world. but more than the streets you should mention the alley where there are cloth hanging from the balcony, the smell of freshly baked bread, the little boy who brings the coffee, the lady with the basket, the Sanpietrini, the sun (which there always) , the flags of Naples and the altars, even one dedicated to Maradona. in life you should get lost at least once to this alleys, without fear because the people of Naples has a huge heart
