Huts at the waters edge

The Sudu Weli is a small bar and restaurant in Mirissa beach. It is constructed a few meters from the beach, and was destroyed by the 2004 tsunami. Despite government recommendations, they built some huts at the water's edge, I know it is not the best if a tsunami hits again, but with calm waters, it is lovely. You can lay in the hammocks in the shade while they make a grilled fish or a shrimp salad. It costs almost nothing. We rarely spent more than 5 euros per person, including a couple of beers. They are not the quickest when making your food. You order your food an hour before so as not to have any issues later.
