7 reviews of Taipei 101

The second tallest sky scraper in the world

The 2nd tallest skyscraper in the world has a height of more than 500 meters but, apart from this, it also has several characteristics that make it a must. It is shaped like bamboo, it has the fastest elevator in the world (1010 meters per minute, with an aerodynamic capsule and controlled air pressure ... impressive), an observatory with views across Taipei and where the giant ball (which honors your pet) that compensates for the tower during high winds and earthquakes, and a great shopping center with restaurants that I will share with you in the appropriate section.

The Taipei 101, was until recently the world's tallest skyscraper with 509 meters (surpassed only by the Sears Tower in Dubai, even contrstrucción). It has 106 floors (5 floors underground and 101 above ground, hence the name), as was the first building that measured over 500 meters, there have always been rumors about its stability and consequences of its construction. Some even say that the size of the building and its particular structure could cause earthquakes and other instabilities. In the photos, the day was overcast, so I had the feeling that the skyscraper was lost in the sky, see it up close, actually imposes.
