Thamyris

In 1860 in the bay of Toulon the first steps in mussel farming took place. Mussel farms grew in the Bay of Tamaris. The Villa Michel Pacha, who started the Moorish style buildings in the Bay, dating back to the 19th century, now is a museum of contemporary art.
