Charming Bed and Breakfast
This is a charming Bed & Breakfast in Kangaroo Island. In the world of the Bed & Breakfasts, you can always find a bit of everything: From pretty crappy accommodation with a lot of charm to homes that have nothing to envy to luxury hotels with comfortable facilities. This B & B in Kangaroo Island belongs to the latter category and is surely one of the best places we stayed in Australia. It is located in American River, a small town on the east end of the island near the ferry station. The house is high on a hill overlooking the bay of the town. There are directions to get there from the village so it doesn´t take you too much time to get there.
It is run by a lovely local couple and the simple breakfast is homemade and absolutely delicious. The only room that they rent is almost an independent housing unit. It has a living room, terrace and private pool. We would really love to stay there for a longer season. It was a pity that we could only stay for one night.
