This street is in the Plaka, and if you've been (or are you going) to Athens, You must have had (or are going to happen) for her. Being one of the oldest streets in Europe, it is logical that it is surrounded by antiques and monuments. Plateia communicates Tripodon Lysikratous (very near the Theater of Dionysus) with the Roman Agora. Tripodon The name comes from the fact that, during the celebration in ancient Dionysiac the Games, the victors in the street used to erect "monuments corégicos", topped with bronze tripods they had won. At the beginning of the street, in the plateia Lysikratous, we can see the Monument of Lysikrates (334-333 BC). As we move down the street we find houses and buildings (not more than two floors) old, some renovated and others with a rather sloppy. The street has many restaurants on both sides, as well as souvenir shops. I recommend going through it both at night and during the day, as the views are completely different for the splendid artificial light that is projected onto the Acropolis.

This street is in the Plaka area, and if you go to Athens, even unintentionally, you certainly will pass. Being one of the oldest streets in Europe, it is dotted with ruins and ancient monuments. Tripodon connects Plateia Lysigratous, very close to the theater of Dionysus, with the Roman agora. Tripodon name comes from the fact that during the celebration in ancient Dionysian games built into the street vendors inlaid bronze coins they had earned monuments. At the beginning of the street, you can see the monument Lysikrates at least the third century. The more we advance in the street, there are more old houses, usually beautifully restored as long ago Plaka is no longer a popular area, but bohemian chic. There are quite a few restaurants on each side, and souvenir shops, but through the tourist facade, you can see real architectural jewels. Day or night, the views of the Acropolis from the bottom are great.
