An Easy and Rewarding Hike
A beautiful and classic hike in the Canadian Rockies that is easily accessible, Tunnel Mountain is a perfect half-day hike and is located only minutes from the town center of Banff. The best place to access the hike is by parking at the first viewpoint on the left side of the road after you pass the Banff Centre. Trail access is across the road. It's just over 4km round trip and is a well-marked, gradually inclining trail. Anyone with a moderate amount of physical fitness should be able to handle the climb.
