Shanghai City Central Youth Hostel

Shanghai City Central Youth Hostel is located in Putuo District, close to the subway station. To enter it, you have to go through a wide and usually well-lit alley. The building is very well-maintained, and the staff are friendly and speak good English. The common room is spacious and has comfortable armchairs and a library. It also has a large number of computers with free internet for guests. My favorite thing, though, is the bar inside the building, where you can eat, drink, watch TV, play pool or check your email. This is open until two in the morning, and it is usually full of travelers looking to make friends and have fun.
