Highest waterfall in Croatia

This waterfall is the highest in Croatia, at 78 m. Apart from its size, this waterfall differs from the others in its formation. Other waterfalls at the National Park in Plitvice use water coming from the lakes, but this one in particular has water from a creek, coming from Plitvica cliff. The water comes from a source 3 km west of Veliki Slap, at the foot of Prijeka kosa, a nearby mountain. Veliki Slap is very beautiful after the rain, and in the spring when the snow melts. You can not get very close because it is a very fragile natural system, and thus have wooden benches so that you can admire without disturbing the environment.
