Vernago Lake

Una delle maggiori attrazioni turistiche della [poi=131391]Val Senales[/poi], è il lago Vernago. Questo splendido specchio d'acqua è stato costituito in seguito alla creazione di una diga di terra che oggi è percorribile durante il classico giro del lago. Durante la stagione secca, quando le acque del bacino sono più basse ed ancora più turchesi, dal centro del lago spunta la torre campanaria della chiesa del vecchio paese che un tempo sorgeva proprio in questo luogo, ma che fu evacuato per la costruzione della diga. Una storia abbastanza affine a quella del vicino lago di Resia e del suo campanile. Nel lago si tuffa anche una bella cascata e il panorama sui ghiacciai ad alta quota, apparentemente così vicini, è davvero unico.
