Whale Watching

The trip on the ferry to get to the whale watching area is a little long, but it's definitely worth it when just a few meters, if not inches, away you can see how the whales jump, swim and even do exercises with their fins right in front of you. It was awesome to see them up close. There are a ton of ferries that take you to see them. I chose one that was called Tasman Venture and it went very well. They gave me a DVD and got a snack on board. Hervey Bay is the starting point for the ferries that carry Fraser Island. Whale watching is a good option, if, like me, have to do hours to take the ferry.
