Una de las playas más bonitas y extensas del Principado de Asturias, Xagó se encuentra a medio camino entre Avilés y el Cabo de Peñas, el punto más al norte de Asturias. Se encuentra en todas las guías naturistas de España, pudiendo practicarse el nudismo en diversas zonas de las dunas. También goza de gran fama entre los surfers siendo conocidos por todos los rompientes de sus extremos. Además, en sus altos acantilados de la zona del Cabo Negro se practica el parapente y varios clubes tienen ubicados aquí su punto de encuentro para volar.

La verdad, es que fuimos un día a buscarla porque la ponían bien en la guía de viajes, y el día antes de nuestra partida de Asturias volvimos a ir para tener un día de relax en la playa. Un lujo, no he visto una playa igual en mi vida.

El lugar es perfecto, no se puede negar. Una gran playa entre acantilados con zona de aparcamiento y un bar bastante aceptable. Lo que es inaceptable es la cantidad MIERDA que hay en la playa. No se si como consecuencia de la Crisis, pero se ve que esa playa no la han limpiado en todo lo que llevamos en verano, una auténtica VERGÜENZA. Plásticos, restos de pesca, basura diversa y restos de animales en descomposición... Eso es el acompañamiento que podréis encontrar en esta playa, junto con la cantidad ingente de insectos consecuencia de esta SUCIEDAD. Eso sin contar la cantidad de trozos de ramas y cortezas que hacen casi imposible pasear o jugar tranquilamente en la playa. NO LA RECOMIENDO en ABSOLUTO para nadie que quiera ir a pasar un día de playa, para eso hay multitud de playas mejores, empezando por Rodiles, ejemplo de mantenimiento PERFECTO, Llanes, etcétera etcétera... Lo que si había era mucho surfista, así que me imagino que será buena playa para los amantes de este deporte. P.D. Durante el verano, cobran 2 € por turismo a la entrada de la playa. No me parece caro, pero viendo el mantenimiento de la playa, me parece una vergüenza que se atrevan a cobrar.
