    Many of the essential things to see in Trogir are found by wandering the cobbled streets of the old town, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997 for its octagonal layout dating from the Hellenistic period, as well as its Romanesque churches and Renaissance and Baroque buildings.

    The network of streets leading to the eastern end of the island, where the Cathedral of San Lorenzo stands, is undoubtedly one of the essential places to visit in Trogir.
