One of the most beautiful valleys in Scotland

The Glen Affric is one of the most beautiful valleys in Scotland, but it isn't included in traditional tourist routes, we went there wanting to explore, hike its many routes and enjoy a privileged location. From the village of Cannich, Glen Affric, runs between steep mountains, beautiful lakes and native Scots pine or red pine forming an ecosystem of great biodiversity known as the Glen Affric National Nature Reserve. A road trip there is great, it's simply spectacular and there are many places to visit for day trips. I recommend a trip to the so-called Dog Falls, a beautiful place where the river Affric narrows to go through a steep, narrow gorge, these waterfalls are the embodiment of time, you see how water carved the rock.

A beautiful nature reserve

20km west of the famous Loch Ness, Glen Affric is a beautiful nature reserve. Forests, lochs, rivers and heather can all be found in this park. It is a paradise for hikers, but be careful of the midges, small mosquitoes active between June and October.
