A world of knowledge and science

A few years ago, while studying in primary, my only obsession was to looking at my cheat sheet without being seen by the language teacher and happily copy while my companions had gone to bed at two o'clock in the morning studying for the final. If you had asked me then what I though of libraries, I'd have said they were the closest thing to a torture chamber. Yet now, years later, I find them wonderful cultural centers which invite you into a world of knowledge and science sprinkled with nostalgia and the great sages of the 19th century, the fathers of modern development. You can find it all right on 5th Avenue, the center of the world!

On a grand scale

Like everything else in this city, the library is big. There are gardens just outside where you can enjoy a coffee and the free Wi-Fi zone. Once inside, its spectacular. There are separate rooms for internet, reading and research. A must.

One of the finest reading rooms for my taste ... I've often come to enjoy free wifi, and what happiness to be sitting in the middle of thousands of book in this beautiful ceiling! The huge windows make entering daylight afloat, and enhanced by the superb ornate chandeliers. The ground floor regularly hosts temporary exhibitions on the theme of literature, often provided and documented. The shop sells classic works and objects of art of New York artists.

The famous library of New York which is guard by two marble lions the outside was built by John Merven t Carrre and Thomas Hastings. The main staircase the interior is majestic and mnera you up the most intressante part of the library: The huge reading room, which has the size of a football field. Take the time to check out some books (even if you do not speak fluent English) and follow these fits of books that offer. Do not forget to look up to admire the ceiling. The between is free and there is the possibility to make a free guided tour.

Unfortunately, when you visit this library the main room (the most beautiful of all) was closed for renovations :( It's a shame but also is an excuse to return. The fact is that the building is nice sper, ceilings one pass and if you I cinfilo there are many movies that you can recall here :)

Temple of culture

This is the third public library in size in the U.S., one of the most famous, and has over 20 million books, was founded in 1895, is housed in a beautiful neo-classical building, remembered perfectly from movies like "The Day After Tomorrow." Despite all this, unfortunately I did not have time to visit inside. Me the sign to the next.

It is a huge building that runs from 40th Street to 42nd Street, in Manhattan's Fifth Avenue. We got to take a look and just a little advantage to connect to internet ... A part of his extensive collection of books and we will meet in an exhibition. A very nice building

On fifth avenue.

Esprofeso went to see her. The building is very nice with those stairs that ended up in a beautiful Gothic columns. When we walked most of the people studied or read, the silence was absolute, we were looking over an exhibition that had, and about which there had left us without a single photo, not to break the silence. It is a sanctuary for those who love to read.

The public library

To rent a book, go to one of the temporary exhibitions at ground shoes, or just visit the most famous of amricaines libraries, The Public Library is one of New York's unmissable sights to visit. It will remain silent amid the towering shelves of clear bookins by old green lamps without ge but a meager price to pay to visit this legendary lei.

The public library

Since childhood i have spent countles...

Since childhood I have spent countless hours in libraries, studying and even seek peace in reading. It is an environment that fascinates me. And know the New York Public Library was a great experience. It is one of the best known and largest libraries in the world and where there is a lot of documentation in books, so I saw to browse in the library. A must for everyone who visits NY.

Walking down fifth avenue, meanwhile ...

Walking down Fifth Avenue, meanwhile building giant luxury store, one can find some stairs, people on the street with books and a striking portico is the entrance to the Library. It's funny to see you there among so huge thing.

I never immersed in a library just to admire it. Not only for its architecture and its immensity, but all knowledge methodically ordered thousands of shelves spread over the different rooms in a building that impressive.
