An extensive permanent collection
Established in 1973, in Washington, the Fondo Del Sol Visual Arts Center was created to promote and preserve the arts and culture of the Americas, focusing specifically on that of Latin America and the Caribbean. It has an extensive permanent collection that includes examples of pre-Columbian art, carved wooden idols, folk and contemporary art. It also regularly organizes temporary exhibitions that showcase works by various contemporary artists and craftsmen.
