Songserm to Ko Tao Ferry

Even though most of the people who go to Koh Tao, Kho Panghan, and Koh Samui take the fast catamaran, I prefer to take the slow boat Songserm company, that has departures from Suratthani and Chumphon, at 8 a.m. and 7 a.m. respectively. From Chumpon it takes about 2 hours to get to Koh Tao, compared with only about 90 minutes on the catamaran, but traditional boat navigates better and they never cancel it, while the catamaran can't say the same. I personally prefer to stay on the upper deck and watch the fishing boats, and islands off in the distance
