Greetings, fellow travelers! On the long beach of Lamai, on the west side of Koh Samui is where you'll find the Blue Marina Beach Bar & Restaurant. It's a restaurant that usually offers haute cuisine, but they also offer international and Asian dishes and all kinds of fast food type burgers, club sandwiches, etc. This place is special because you can eat at the edge of the sand while looking at the sea. You can enjoy the view from their wood, bamboo, and teak dinner tables, and they're really low so you can enjoy eating in a typical Asian style. You can also have a coffee or a drink in the shade after or during a sunny day. In fact, this is the ideal place for that. It's a quiet place to relax with the sea breeze in the afternoon. If you are on the beach I recommend stopping by because if you're already staying on the beach you won't appreciate the scene as much.
Greetings travelers. The first thing to point out about this restaurant is the wonderful area in which it is located. Located in a small cove between Chaweng and Baan Hua Thanon, it is a very quiet and pleasant place to have a drink, day or night. As you go in, you'll find a nice garden where you get to go to any of the various wooden-roofed tents to sit and eat. Of course the views overlook the sea. On the menu there's Thai food as well as international dishes and the quality is pretty good. The prices are more than affordable for European travelers and the service is quite efficient. While you wait for food, you can have a swim since you're on the shore of a small cove only 30 seconds away. Definitely a place worth visiting if you want a moment to relax and get away from the humdrum. This restaurant is open daily and is located on the left side of the road going south from Chaweng.
The Chaweng Market is a huge, open-air restaurant where you can eat a bit of everything, from meats like chicken, to fruit, and the other weird things you can see in my photos. I tried some interesting things. The market runs every day, and the fruit is really high-quality.
You can't leave Koh Samui without visiting this beach club. It's impossible to miss this large site, on Chaweng beach, to the northeast of the island. They have music blaring from two in the afternoon (sometimes even earlier). It's known for its crazy parties, especially on Wednesdays and Fridays ... go go dancers, DJs, fire shows and music fill up a crowded space where revelers get wildly drunk. The atmosphere is young and many of the party-goers are European. When you're tired of dancing, you can lie on the sun loungers on the beach with a drink. Sometimes they have barbecues at lunch time. A great place to visit, and certainly the best spot if you and your friends are interested in joining the cast of Geordie Shore!
T-Home Coffee is probably the best location to kill time while waiting for the immigration office of Koh Samui to lengthen your visa. It offers WIFI, shade, and more than acceptable dishes, Whether take away or to eat in, you choose how you want your food and/ or drink. The menu is quite extensive, and while waiting for your order, you can use the computers inside (bottom right, just before the bathroom). You can also enjoy the internet on the terrace. Any doubt, ask the lovely staff who speak English quite well. Prices of T-Home Coffee are totally acceptable. A Pad Thai shouldn't cost more than 60 baht. If you do not want 'to spend so much' you can always use the carts around there, but unfortunately, these do not have WIFI or shade!
