Taughannock Falls State Park

Situated just outside of Ithaca, New York (in the Finger Lakes region), Taughannock Falls is a must-see for the nature lover. After just a short hike down the Gorge Trail, you will be treated with the view of a spectacular waterfall plunging over a massive rocky cliff. Taughannock Falls drops 215 feet down to the river below, making it a taller waterfall than Niagara Falls! There are other hiking trails at the park, including the North Rim Trail, the South Rim Trail, and some Multi-Use trails. Camping is available on site, and you can visit the park all year around.
