Times square

Times Square is the most emblematic square in New York. Surely if you have ever been, you know what it is like. Its triangular shape, the giant, bright advertisments on the buildings, the New Yorkers screen announcing the end of the season and the start of a one, I've seen it more than once. If you have the chance to travel there, you can also look for webcam, at ' http://www.earthcam.com/usa/newyork/timessquare/' Times Square is the intersection of Seventh Avenue and Broadway. It is surrounded by theaters, where you can watch up to date music as well as long running shows like Cats, Les Miserables and The Phantom of the Opera, which have been running for over 20 years. The place that never sleeps, and there's always more crazy men singing, people celebrating simply being there, or an event sponsored by a major brand. To not miss what happens in the stock market or anywhere else in the world, you can take a look at the screens of NASDAQ, the American Stock Exchange Index, or put on live news. In this mecca of American culture, you can find everything imaginable that says "United States." The Hard Rock Cafe, McDonald's, Burger King, XXXXL clothing stores, souveniers for New York baseball teams, and more.

A world of neon

Times Square is not as you expect it: more! When you get here it is really aware of being in the hub of the world! Lights, sounds and colors at very high frequency (including the NY Police Department!), Neon that we lose the sense of time: Times Square never sleeps. A swarm of people all over the planet, tourists and residents, people who make a protest that mingle with those who give shopping. Beware of big screens, you may be 'victim' of an interactive animation! A Times Square also gave me the thrill of a sudden hailstorm: see covered in a white blanket is priceless.

The whirlwind of souls

Neon lights, giant LED screens touting thousand and one products, services and pleasures and whose power makes it totally unnecessary to use lampposts across the plaza, hurried steps, mouths open in surprise and thousands of cameras and video who want to immortalize the sacred time when their owners are in that place dreamed, in that heart of the Big Apple that have so often seen in movies, magazines and have heard both. But it was not always so great and so good picture. In the 60s there were many sex shops, peep shows and extravagant characters rubbed shoulders with prostitutes and junkies. Now change your image is more polished, especially after radical change, facelift was given to the city in 1990. Never lost his unmistakable theatrical image, especially the weekend when the streets are filled and everyone is rushing to not be late for any of the functions that represent Broadway. Today it is a place of exchange of images, ideas, feelings, but before it was to trade until the arrival of Subway in 1904. Subways and the New York Times, he named the area was once known as Long Acre Square, which introduced the famous mega party which has been held every December 31 and has become inseparable image of New York. This "Crossroads of the World" as well have had to baptize, has everything most restless minds and hearts can desire: the MTV studios with large windows to the street to see the famous a little closer, a huge Disney Store, the big announcements and brand boutiques, the latest in mobile posters, a screen where you can see live as he greets family members or recording presence known Good Morning America. Each year welcomes over 26 million tourists who come to enjoy all this and mega theaters like the Ford Center or New Amsterdam, or just a walk through this space really is not triangular and Times Square .... Square will continue to be the source of information and leisure Sassy has ever seen, and not just another public square in the world like her.

A lit endlessly

In the heart of Manhattan what we see with our eyes changed by simply turning a corner of Broadway. Before us lies a lighted ad nauseum, with ads that come and go, moving. Countless lights welcomes the traveler who enters first in Times Square, one of the most famous squares in the world and millions and millions of tourists visit every year. It could be defined as a place of excess spending, unlimited consumerism, reflected in ads there for all facades. Everyone is trying to attract attention with bright colors, shocking videos or anything else that comes to mind. Lights and impressions aside, the place was so named for being there in the first place the New York Times. It became so famous that when the daily change of venue and continued calling. In addition, they got into the habit of celebrating every year the chimes of New Year's Eve and are among the most impressive of the entire planet, mainly by the striking of the thousands of lights you have around you. Here we find, among others, the Hard Rock Café, shop M & M's, Bubba Gump's store (Yes, I Forrest Gump), the Nasdaq, sportswear shops and theaters. Once in the middle of the square will certainly look this way and that, looking for different things, listing almost imperceptible and panels that change with a movie and you are hooked. Just do not advertise very cheap, in case anyone was thinking it.

With the optics of a child

I bring you a video of the place recorded partly by me and partly by my son. Both recordings are with the eyes of a child as with so many lights, stress, people, cars, cops, sirens and experiences, you can not only look around you with that vision. This August 13, 2010 has opened a huge statue which reproduces the famous kiss between a sailor and a nurse, immortalized by photographer Alfred Eisenstaedt in the central square of New York at the end of World War II. The size of nearly eight meters high, is part of the commemoration of the 65th anniversary of the end of the war, with the announcement of Japan's surrender on August 15, 1945. Entitled 'Unconditional Surrender' Just I visited the day after inauguration, coincidences of life.

Neon jungle

Times Square is New York. All mixed. Apples from nearby and you can go see the light that emerges from the thousands of neon advertising and there will not be a time when there are no people. Located at the intersection of Broadway Avenue and 7 Avenue, named after The New York Times, which formerly Tenan their offices here. Encontrars everything and although is highly targeted to tourists, nothing happens, is just moln. It is here where Year's Eve party is held, waiting for every ball for 60 seconds. How many times have we said, a year of hese celebrate it all. But beware, this area has been as only a short time (early 90s) ago. Before these years, the area was characterized as dangerous, with drug dealers on every corner and hundreds of cinemas X. Surely hayis as seen in movies of that era. Much has changed with what is now. And not only is to live by night, to give the same impression. As I said, here I never stop.

Nestled in the megalopolis of new yor...

Nestled in the megalopolis of New York, enjoying a strategic location just south of beautiful Central Park and not far from the main centers of interest New York, Times Square is THE New York neighborhood that everyone knows with its huge skyscrapers, huge bright screens lit at all hours of day and night, his incessant animation and its many theaters and musicals. A change of scenery and a real slice of America lively, not to be missed.

Times square is one of the most famou...

Times Square is one of the most famous and busiest places in the world. You can not go wrong when trying to Times Square for the moment you set foot in this area, one is overwhelmed by the enormity and the abundance of advertisements. In addition, it is a place extremely popular especially by tourists means more often speak foreign languages and the U.S. 9/10 people have cameras in hand, I would call this place short of true "anthill" . Times Square is also a place full of souvenir shops, there is also a shop M & Ms huge and can often cross the corner of a pedestrian crossing one of those famous Naked Cow Cow Boy or Girl!

New york i love you

It happened at the beginning of this summer, specifically the end of May 2011. My two sisters and I decided to take a trip to New York to meet the most spectacular and cosmopolitan capital city in the world ... We spent about 9 days with some friends on the Lower East Side, which was an advantage, not only by location, but by the wealth of practical advice that we got to see, feel and know the city ... We had thousands of experiences, sensations and feelings that made our first trip to the "City", we stay in love with her. Now we can only revive our journey among the hundreds and hundreds of photographs to cherish the journey and hope that before long we can repeat as little experience as spectacular as was ours.

New york i love you

The famous, the inevitable times squa...

The famous, the inevitable Times Square. At night, of course, is one of the most popular places in New York, it shines, it flashes a true nightclub ... Day the place has its charm, if you can call it charming. It is a very touristy place actually rather intriguing, so the streets are full of vendors, picture frames, painters near you draw the portrait or caricature you (chick?), A place that abounds, cameras wielded all 2 meters ... In summer it is nice to sit at one of the tables set up in this place, this is not a restaurant or a bar, you can sit out without tickets, and let you enter the incessant flow. Strange indeed ... And there is a recruitment center of the army in the middle of it all! Anyway, good find!

Time square

Like many places in New York, Time Square is one of the things that you know obviously. For example, you may have seen an episode of CSI New York whose decor this iconic site in New York. Anyway, enough of blah. Times Square is the main square at the intersection of Broadway and 7th Avenue full screen advertising of any kind, and eccentric shops (eg, M & M's World, the Disney store, etc.). When we were there in April, there was even a mini-football game held in the streets, just in front of Walgreen. There are also several places for you to be on one of the many displays for a few seconds. Many things can be done in Times Square, including, book tickets to a Broadway show at the TKTS counter ("tickets" I presume).

Time square

Times square

After the Statue of Liberty, Times Square remains the most symbolic place in New York. We've all seen at least once its lights and huge ublicitaires panels in a film. When you get there, day and night, this area is impressive. It feels immensely dwarfed those towers that never end, oppressive, with their info and pubs flashes continuously. One could easily get lost, prices in the flow of tourists and passers-by that disguise.

Time square by night

Before I go to NYC, I had in my head many images of Times Square. In fact, even before there, you already think you know everything ... But once there, you literally enter another dimension. . And if one places NYC can inspire this new dimension is undoubtedly Time Square. Day is already amazing at night, it is close to the magic! This is why I advise you to take a ride "by night", "New York, the city that never sleeps" with Times Square as a symbol. . In short, I have no special advisor to Time Square activities, if not to enjoy all that is offered to you.

Time square by night

.
