Barranca del Cupatitzio National Park

7 reviews of Barranca del Cupatitzio National Park

lush vegetation

This national park is home to the source of the Cupatitzio River in a place known as "devil's knee". If you like to take walks surrounded by lush vegetation or sit on a riverbank listening to the water falling on the rocks, this is the place for you. Cupatitzio River forms waterfalls and small clear water reservoirs. If you're lucky, you can see the risk-taking divers from the treetops or rock formations or children telling the legends of the park. You can also visit the rainbow trout farm, feed or fish them for later, or enjoy a rich macadamia trout in the restaurants located around the park.
