Brooklyn Bridge

Awesome, overwhelming, amazing ... There aren't enough adjectives to describe how it feels, not only to see the bridge, but to see it from inside the city itself. All the skyscrapers struggle to protrude above each other, but they fail to diminish the view of the Brooklyn Bridge. I was on it for about two hours, seeing as it was evening, and I tried to take some pictures that reflected what I saw from this location. Amazing, inspiring, great, awesome, majestic, friendly, bustling, classic, exciting, overwhelming, etc. The English word that best describes the feeling of being there and the views

You can enjoy is AWESOME!! Something every travel lover should see in their life :)

The best views of the Manhattan skyline

Maybe not as typical as visit other places like Times Square or the Statue of Liberty, but for me from here you can enjoy the best views of Manhattan. The bridge itself is amazing, but to get to the middle, you can see the majesty of the skyscrapers of downtown Manhattan, even seen the Statue of Liberty if you know where to look. Night is particularly spectacular. It is a place to verify the saying that New York is the city that never sleeps, seeing as all the buildings lit. Truly amazing. One of the best things to do is to cross the Brooklyn Bridge (about 20 minutes), go up north to Brooklyn Manhattan Bridge crossing again (another 20-30 minutes, watching the Brooklyn Bridge to the left !), and arrive at Canal Street (China Town)

It is a must-visit site

The Brooklyn Bridge is located south of Manhattan and Brooklyn meets. It is one of the most famous images of New York. Starts, more or less, in the Town Hall and is very close to Wall Street and next to a small port. At the time was one of the largest and longest in the world, it is almost two kilometers. The bridge is more than 120 years and one time or another has been targeted. But what engages the bridge is not only its size, that if, in particular is its construction, its pillars and the enclave which is surrounded by skyscrapers. It is a place to be visited and from where to get good pictures, especially at night and if you do well, because of fondé is the "sky line" of Manhattan and Brooklyn in one bank to another. In addition, the lighting of the bridge is also worth a little walk at sunset and then drink from the small port there next, with Beakman Street South. You can cross on foot or bicycle in the center lanes of the same. It's long, but worth it. Yes, if it's cold is not recommended. If someone wants to do it yet, Dress warmly.

A witness to the history of New York

Completed in 1883, the giant famous Brooklyn was the largest suspension bridge in the world. The inhabitants of the Big Apple saw it as a great work, but wary of the security of this construction engineer Roebling. To banish this fear once and for all from the New York mind, the owner of the Barnum circus paraded through the bridge with 21 elephants to confirm stability. And that it was to reassure wary and to elevate to that icon of the city. Are nearly 500 meter bridge (although only 188 over the river), which are traversed on foot in about 20 minutes if you want to stop at the viewpoints that we provide only the city and view the body of water. It is said that a certain Lustig, famous for having "sold" the Eiffel Tower to a French junkyard, tried the same thing with the Brooklyn Bridge, but wanted the chance that his first "client" was the gangster Al Capone, who made so funny scammer's attempt, which gave $ 5,000 and let him go without killing him. It is also said that Roebling father died, his son took over the building, but when suffering from stroke, was bedridden for most of the bridge construction supervised while his wife works. Legends or true stories aside, we have to be careful when crossing the bridge, and we need to keep our side of the street pedestrian crossing it, and the other half is for cyclists who tend to get a bit nasty if you step cut or to pose for a photo. The bridge is also famous for witnessing marathons, demonstrations and especially and unfortunately for appearing in many images in which hundreds of workers Midtown, traumatized and terrorized pierced him, walking or running, covered with dust, as they fled from their jobs after the tragic events of September 11th.

A lovely dusk walk between Brooklyn and Manhattan

¡Disfrutadlos!
In many movies and series the famous Brooklyn Bridge, definitely a must stop for visitors to the island of Manhattan appears. On my trip to NY I knew I pass by here, I did heed the recommendations had received and ledo: it is best to cross it from Brooklyn to Manhattan at dusk, what skill! We took the subway to the other island and throughout the tour was impossible to keep the mobile and stop taking pictures. Each step ofreca one more special of the Manhattan skyline perspective, is that when you move away a bit of skyscrapers and dusk see how the colossal city is enciente before you, you run an ms impressed. No matter what the camera filter used, the characters all photos were autnticas postcards and precisely that the time was so fast and ephemeral, did an ms magical. I hope to return soon to follow maravillndome sunsets like that, here I leave some of the pestaeos that took me. Enjoy them!
