1 review of Casa-Atelie Carlos Scliar

Worth a visit

Great

Walking along the Cabo Frio Canal, we saw a strange statue of a man, opposite where the ships were anchored, captured as if drawing. It is the statue of Carlos Scliar, a renowned painter, who lived in Cabo Frio for more than forty years. In front of the statue is the Carlos Scliar Cultural Institute, where you can find many examples of his work, as well as pieces by other Brazilian painters. Painting and drawing classes are also taught here. There's a cinema, too. Admission is free, and the staff are very friendly and welcoming.
