Chez Pierina

Chez Pierina is a small, friendly restaurant in Chamois. The menu is limited but delicious. The mixed antipasti features mocetta a local delicacy of cured chamois meat. The main course is polenta and fontina with a meat stew of your choosing. We took the succulent red deer with bilberries.

The meal was finished off with coffee and homemade sugar cubes soaked in alcohol flavored with sage. The alcohol/sugar rush leaves one with a warm sense of wellbeing.

Reaching the restaurant can be challenging since Chamois cannot be reached by car. We had arrived on snow shoes descending through the ski area from Santuario Clavite.
