Christ Church Gate

1 review of Christ Church Gate

Nice architecture

Nestled in the heart of the pedestrian streets of the medieval city of Canterbury, the arch of the Christ Church Gate is one of the main sights to see. Just a few meters from the main entrance to the cathedral, it dates back to 1507 and is an excellent example of Gothic architecture. Everything is original except the statue of Christ, which was looted in the seventeenth century and replaced in 1990.
