Beautiful views of Siena

The Basilica of Santa Maria dei Servi, also known as St. Clement, is built on the site of the former San Clemente, which was acquired by the Servite Order in 1234, and annexed to a new convent. The new church was consecrated in 1533. The facade dates back to the fifteenth century, however it was never completed, and the bell tower is from the thirteenth century. Originally built in a Romanesque style, it was heavily modified in the following centuries, most recently in 1926. The brick facade houses important works of art.
