Delight for all five senses

Costa Rei is a long and beautiful beach which belongs to the Costa Rei municipality. It's definitely one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The sand is like flour and the water is like a swimming pool. It's like being in the Caribbean. The Peppino rock is also nearby. Besides just its natural beauty, the region is also full of history: there are many archaeological sites and museums to discover in the area as well. Oh, and don't forget to try the local specialty: "prazzira," or shellfish. After a day of hiking, sunbathing, and snorkeling, your palate deserves a treat too!

One of the best beach areas in Sardinia

Excellent

Costa Rei is one of the best beach areas in Sardinia. It's a touristy area full of endless white-sand beaches and crystal-clear waters. It even gets a bit difficult to choose which beach or cove you want to visit. There are plenty of restaurants for lunch but watch out because

Costa Rei is heaven

In September, Costa Rei is heaven. No one goes to the beach in Sardinia looking for crowds and noise, but during late summer Costa Rei really is perfect and quiet. It's warm and the sea is calm and clear like few other areas I've been to. It's a very long beach so if you like to have your personal space, it's ideal. The only other people you'll see will be a mile away!

Great day-trip near Cagliari

This is one of the best day-trip spots around Cagliari. It’s difficult to get there, but most beautiful and memorable places are. The beaches are quiet in the autumn (I can’t speak for the summer) and there is free parking and plenty of places to eat. Each beach has its own different atmosphere.
