Villasimius Beach

Cagliari is an interesting city but the beaches there, as you can imagine, are among the less spectacular of Sardinia. About 50 kilometers away, in Villasimius, you’ll find some of the paradisaical beaches for which Sardinia is famous: white sand, blue water, cliffs, pine forests…the real Sardinia! Aside from one or two restaurants and a couple of basic shops, the area is undeveloped and relatively wild. In other words, it’s still not touristy. A round trip bus from Cagliari lasts a total of 3 hours and costs 7€. More than worth it!
