Oldest home in Amsterdam
The Begijnhof is in the center of Amsterdam but this small neighborhood is somewhat hidden any many first-time visitors pass by it without even noticing. For those who have the good fortune of visiting, you'll be greeted by beautiful and traditional Dutch homes like the Het Houten Huisje which they say is the oldest in Amsterdam. The house is made entirely of wood and was apparently built in the fifteenth century and has survived fires and storms over the centuries.
