A pleasant experience
This is a small, friendly city with some really beautiful beaches. To get there from Lisbon you can take the train (approximately 90 minutes). It has beach chairs and umbrellas, as well as restaurants and bistros where you can enjoy the good weather on beautiful terraces. Very popular during the summer months. Although the sea water is often cold, the plentiful sunshine makes the experience quite pleasant. Just don't forget your sunscreen!
